Hiii...
Been almost 2 years since I posted something here...
Just like the earth rotating everyday, so does my life =)
Been working in a super hectic and busy multi national bank for almost 1 and a half year now...
Where I met the love of my life *blush*
As cheesy as it might sound, I met him accidentally during our office outing...
Long story short, he had my heart completely falling for him...
He's the kind of guy who always thought that he has nothing on him to offer me, never realized that he has everything that I'm looking for in a guy this whole time...
The way he's making sure that I'm happy with him everyday can't be beaten by anyone or anything...
When I am picturing someone who will marry me one day it'll be him and only him =)
You know you fall in love "too" deep when you can only think about him whenever you watch a sweet love movie, or listen to a sweet love song, or see sweet couple PDA'ing at the mall or at romantic places.
I know that I'm not perfect, I fact I know for sure that he can get a much better and prettier girl than me and yet he choose me and love me unconditionally...
Last night he gave me this song, and he said that this song reminds him of me.
Never that he knows that this song actually reminds me of him =)
"Make You Feel My Love"
When the rain is blowin' in your face
And the whole world is on your case
I could offer you a warm embrace
To make you feel my love.
When the evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one there to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love.
I know you haven't made your mind up yet
But I would never do you wrong
I've known it from the moment that we met
No doubt in my mind where you belong.
I'd go hungry, I'd go black and blue
I'd go crawlin' down the avenue
No, there's nothin' that I wouldn't do
To make you feel my love.
The storms are raging on the rollin' sea
And on the highway of regrets
The winds of change are blowing wild and free
You ain't seen nothin' like me yet.
I could make you happy, make your dreams come true
There's nothing that I would not do
Go to the ends of the Earth for you
To make you feel my love.
You can listen you the song here
I hope you like the song like we did.
And just in case you have someone in mind when you listen to this song, please does keep that person around.
I'm not saying that the perfect relationship is all about loving, kissing, and stuffs.
You know even the most loving person sometimes lose it all.
But when you fight or feel that you guys shouldn't be together or whatever make you doubting the relationship, think about why you start it, think about what can be fixed not who can replace.
Because there will be nobody have everything that you wanted in a partner, but guess what neither do you... =)
So today, when you read this post think about what you can give instead of what you should have get..
Because just like what lyric of this song said:
I could make you happy, make your dreams come true
There's nothing that I would not do
Go to the ends of the Earth for you
To make you feel my love.
Make your partner feel your love peeps ;)
And for my love, just in case you read this post....
Ardy, thank you for everything you've done for me...
I just want you to know that you're everything that I've ever dreamt of..
Thank you for make me feel your love and never gave up on us...
I hope that one day you'll realize that I love you for who you are, and for everything that you have..
You are much more than what I have ever expected...
And I hope one day I can make you feel my love too... =)
I love you Baby and I will always do...
Forever yours,
Cindy

Contentment, contentment!!
What is contentment?
According to a post by Leo Babauta:
"contentment isn’t a matter with being content with your situation in life and never trying to improve it. It’s a matter of being content with what you have"
According to a post by Leo Babauta:
"contentment isn’t a matter with being content with your situation in life and never trying to improve it. It’s a matter of being content with what you have"
To be honest, there are so many times in my life that I am not content with what I have, everything that I have in life just seems not good enough for me. A random example of this will be when some of my friends and I gathered together last weekend and cooked shabu2 (Japanese style hot pot) at my boyfriend’s apartment. When I found out that the shabu2 sauce that I usually use for shabu2 was out of stock, I was very unhappy, begged my boyfriend to take me to all groceries stores in town to find that similar sauce. I forgot that I have bought so many ingredients for shabu2, all I care was just the sauce.
This story of mine get me thinking now, that most of the time people put more thought on what they don’t or wasn’t or not yet have, rather than what they already have. Such a small thing, like sauce in my example, could redirect all of my focus from meat, sea food, delicious broth, and other things that I already bought and were ready to be cooked.
A friend of mine once told me that he loves his ex more when they have broke up, he even cheated on his ex when they were together.
“The grass is always greener on the other side”
When my friend chased his ex girlfriend, he put her as his target; his goal was to date her. She occupied his mind, just like the shabu2 sauce in my case. Once he successfully dated her, she was no longer becoming his target. After a few months or years, they were caught up on their routine of becoming a couple. There my friend found this new girl, she became his new target, his new goal was to date this girl. His mind was then occupied by this new girl, he felt that something was missing in his relationship with his ex, even though he didn’t know about this girl as much as he know his ex.
You could say that you never cheat, but I guarantee that you have ever felt not content in some way, maybe you feel like your car isn’t good enough for you, maybe you want a bigger house, or you want your friend’s job instead of yours.
I am not suggesting you to stop having a goal in life but people please stop complaining and start giving thanks to whatever you have to date.
Start counting your blessings!! Remember that I said my friend loves his ex more after they broke up? It is because he forgot to count her as one of his blessing when they were together. Count blessing could be as easy as you could wake up today with a healthy body, you could sleep in a bed inside your house for many people out there don’t even have a house or a bed.
Put yourself in their shoes! When you want something so bad, such as you want to have your friend’s job instead of what you have now. Start to put yourself in his/her position, remember that ‘The grass is always greener on the other side’ you might like what they have not simply just because you are not on their position. Trust me, someone out there might want to have your hob, or your car, or your house.
Remember the past! Remember when you haven’t get your current job, remember when you still put your current girlfriend or boyfriend (or spouse) as your target and why you want them so bad. =)
Sometimes all of those memories fade away as you caught up in your daily routine.
Sometimes all of those memories fade away as you caught up in your daily routine.
And last but now least, remember that the best is yet to come!
God’s plan is better than yours so just follow his way and he will always provide whatever you need (or even more) in your life. ^^

Stop Second Guessing!!
second-guess
vb Informal
1. to criticize or evaluate with hindsight
2. to attempt to anticipate or predict (a person or thing)
Have you ever second guess yourself? Or others?
I have secondguessed myself so many times that I lost track of it.
Last week I just got baptized =)
For those who wondering why, here is why I have been baptized twice before this.
The first one was when I was 1 yo, since my mom and dad are Christians so they want me to be one too.
The second one was during my high school, this is of course because my mom and dad wanted me to get baptized again before I left Indonesia to study here in United States.
During this past few years I've been through some challenging journey of faith so last week I finally decided that I want to get baptized and this one is for me (not for my parents =p)
I secondguess my life journey a lot of time, yes I know that the best is yet to come and yes I know that God have a better plan for me.
But I second guess whether I am living His plan right now, whether I am dating the right person that He want me to be with.
Right before I got baptized my pastor gave me this verse
Mark 11: 22
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in.
A very short verse (other people that got baptized on that day, each got a longer verse), what shocking to me is that verse is answering this question inside of me.
He want me to have faith in Him, I might not know what happen next but this verse will always keep my head up high to get through my life.
And I know that this verse can be your strength too =)
Remember, the best is yet to come!! So stop secondguessing everything, start do your best and have faith in Him.
Have a wonderful weekend you all!!

Let's cook!!
I've been craving for Indonesian food for some times, so when one of my friends said that he wish there was internet (indomie telur kornet) place here in Bloomington, I finally decided to find an internet (indomie telor kornet) recipe online and gave the recipe a try on the next day.
For those who don't know what Indomie is, it is one of the most popular instant noodles brand in Indonesia. There are so many food carts (kind of like a food truck but using cart instead of truck), they sell food such as instant noodles, Indonesian style lo mien, chow fun, fried chicken, fried rice, etc in the side walk. They sell them in a very cheap price too!! $1 to $1.5 per portion.
Internet is Indomie with fried egg and kornet toppings. I'm gonna share my recipe below but since my English wasn't good enough I will write it down in bahasa instead, for those who don;t understand bahasa and really want to try this recipe please put comment and i will try my best to translate the recipe to English.
Internet Resep (Indomie Telur Kornet)
Bahan:
1 Bungkus Indomie (rasa ayam spesial =p)
1 Butir Telur ayam
Sayur hijau secukupnya (saya pakai caisim)
2 siung bawang putih (chopped sangat halus)
2 stengah sendok makan kornet
4 butir cabai rawit
Daun bawang secukupnya, saya pakai 2 batang (potong2 halus)
Bawang goreng secukupnya
1 stengah sendok makan kecap manis
Margarin secukupnya
Minyak goreng secukupnya
Cara Membuat:
30 detik sblm mie selesai dimasak, masukan sayur (sayur rebus 30detik saja). Tiriskan mie dan sayur, taruh sedikin margarin diatas mie yg masih panas agar mie tidak lengket.
4. Masukan telur, orak arik sebentar (jangan sampai terlalu kering) lalu langsung masukan mie dan sayur yg sudah ditiriskan tadi. besarkan api ke medium. Tambahkan air sedikit saja, masukan minyak dan bumbu mie dr kemasan, aduk2 masukan daun bawang. Tambahkan kecap manis, aduk2 lalu setelah air (kuah) sedikit mengental, siap dihidangkan.
5. Taruh kornet diatas mie lalu garnish dengan bawang goreng.
Selamat mencoba =)

Because I am Special =)
Yes, you read it correctly!! I am special.
But so are you =)
But so are you =)
Have you ever envy someone because that person is better looking than you?
Or because she bought a bag that you really really want for so long?
Or because that person’s voice is better than yours?
Or because her body is superb that not even an everyday exercise gym could ever get you close to what she got?
Or because she bought a bag that you really really want for so long?
Or because that person’s voice is better than yours?
Or because her body is superb that not even an everyday exercise gym could ever get you close to what she got?
When I was younger, my mom compared me with my friends in so many times. Whatever I did or achieved were never enough for her because someone else did it better. I could do ballet, and I think I was pretty good at it. But someone in my ballet class got bigger part than me during one performance (yes it was just once), I felt pretty beat up and feel not so good about my ballet skill anymore (now I realized how stupid I was). There was also another time when I got second highest score semester’s GPA during my junior high school, I was so happy and proud of myself until I told my mom and she said why couldn’t I get the 1st highest GPA instead?
Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t say that my mom is a bad person, In fact, I think she is the greatest mom ever =) But at that time those memories made me feel I’m not special (at all), until one day during my high school, I met my class mate’s mom during half semester students’ parent meeting and that lady said that she wish she had me as her child because I am smart (FYI she said this just because my score was way higher than her kid). At that moment I feel special =)
Yep, just like that, I feel special just because some random lady told me that she preferred me than her kid. It make me realized that EVERYBODY is RARELY SATISFIED with what they have. Most people always look up and then they figure out that people are more special and they are not. This is not always a bad thing to do, because when you realize that there is something more special than what you have now you will be more motivated to reach it, for example people will work harder at the gym to have better body.
It will become a bad thing when you start comparing yourself with other and being jealous and feel other people are superior and more special than you.
Yes it is true that there is someone (or maybe many people) out there that have better voice than me, also there are many people in this world that smarter than me or prettier than me (and the list could go on and on)
But I wouldn’t describe myself with only 1 word (will you?).
Example: I wouldn’t describe myself as Cindy Dauna the smart girl.
Because that won’t make me special, I mean smart girl is very general (in fact, many girls out there are smarter than me).
Example: I wouldn’t describe myself as Cindy Dauna the smart girl.
Because that won’t make me special, I mean smart girl is very general (in fact, many girls out there are smarter than me).
I am special because I have this compilation of things, abilities, skills, thoughts, ideas, experiences and feelings in my life. AND THEY ARE specific and different than yours and what other people in the world have. I call this my footsteps.
My footsteps and yours are different and no one (trust me!!) no one has a similar footsteps, not even an identical twins.
So how does this footsteps thing work?
This work just like a combination of numbers lock: the more number you put on your lock the harder it is to guess the password of the lock. For example: the variation of password that you can choose from a 3 digits number lock will only be 1 to 999, but when you add 1 number to it now you can choose between 1 to 9999. In other word, the more combination of things, abilities, skills, thoughts, ideas, experiences and feelings you have on your footstep, the more special you are. And I doubt that someone only have 1 skill in life or one abilities in life or one thought in life, and so on.
So my voice might be not as good as A but I can do ballet better than A. My ballet skill might be not as good as B but my mathematical skill might be better than B. My mathematical skill might not as good as C but I can sing better than C. And the footstep comparison could go on and on and on and in the end it will make everyone different and special.
So… I am special because I am me!! And so are you people... =)And when you think you are not special and envy other people because they have something that you don't, someone out there envy you because of something that you have that they don't.
So please start feel content of what you have and never feel that you're not special, because you are ^^
Thanks for reading...

Officially 23
Happy 23rd birthday to me!! And as a gift for myself I’ve decided to make this blog to share some of my stories, my thoughts as well as practicing my writing skill in English (so for those who read this blog, YES you are going to find a bunch of grammatical error). And please please PLEASE don’t judge me just because my English sucks >,< Please keep in mind that English is not my first language (and it won’t be, hidup Indonesia!!^^)
Anyway, 23 years old, I feel so old -_-“
2 years ago when I turned 21 I felt so good about it, I mean come on, turning 21 is like winning a jackpot or something for SOME people, it means no more fake ID and a symbol of maturity (especially here in States). I have to admit that I went to club with my girls right away that night and using my OWN (not fake) State ID ;D, no I didn’t get fucked up (luckily!)and got home safely.
What to do when you turn 23?
Soo,,, I spent some times think about this (I even googled it and didn’t really get the right answer). Well, everyone has different things that they want to do / accomplished in their life. In my opinion, 1 thing for sure when you turn 23 you NEED to be mature enough to decide what you want to be, what you want in your life and make your own life goal’s milestones. When you are 23 you are MATURE already, it is not a SYMBOL of maturity anymore. You are an all grown up person!! 23 is about able to make decision, starting from deciding whether you are going to continue your study to master degree or not, if not which job offer you should accept. If you already have a job then it is time for you to decide whether you like your current job or not.
21 yo vs 23 yo (from my point of view)
Apparently, according to my observation (doesn't mean this is applied to everyone though) when you are 21 years old you will feel like you are in the process of becoming a grown up woman, but yet were not forced to be mature in various aspect of your life. For example, when I was 21 years old, I still using my parent's money to shop, to pay my rent and to buy food. In most (or maybe in every) decision I made, I need to ask what my parents think and whether they allow me to do it or not. This give me less responsibility, because when sometimes goes wrong I could blame my parents (for giving me the wrong advise or even not letting me do something that I think is right). Now, I am 23 years old, most of the time (if not always) I make decision by myself (my life my rule!! Yeahh ^^v) which make me think twice before deciding or doing something because whenever i choose to do something unwisely I couldn't blame others. When you are 23 years old it is time for you to start planning your life and not "go with the flow" any longer. I mean, look around you!! Most of my high school friends are currently saving up for their wedding, some are even married >,<
So I am 23, then what?
That the question that keep running through my mine. I know what I want in life, I have a pretty nice job, I have my own income, I made (mostly) right decision (so far) and I am 23 years old. Too much pressure? Yes (sometimes). Why?
Maybe because I'm scared being pressured to get married soon >,<
Maybe because I'm scared I will hate my next job.
Maybe because I'm scared to make wrong decision.
23, Solution?
Don't be scared!! My sister gave me a very nice quote a few days ago:
"Plan your life with pencil and let Jesus have the eraser".
This is simply means let Jesus plan your life and do nothing.
This is simply means do your best, plan out your life, but let Jesus decide what will happen next.
I've heard a really good story about 'a full picture', basically sometimes we couldn't see why something happen in our life, what is the big picture of our life. Be honest, have you ever get sad, angry, or disappointed when something that not according to your plan happen? Because I had (in so many times =p) But then most of them turned out to be good things in the end.
When you let God lead you and your life good things will happen. (I did not say when though, sometimes it come fast sometimes it took you so long but it will)
What you need to do?
Let you have faith and not fear =)
So happy 23rd birthday again to me and I want to share a video made by my best besttt besttttt friend as my birthday present.
